"Equipa UAlg" is now available with new lectures

With the aim of continuing to strengthen relations between higher education and basic and secondary education, the University of Algarve continues to offer the initiative "Equipa UAlg" in a face-to-face and online format. This edition counts with new lectures and other actions, free and informal, taking into account the students' needs.

The 2023/2024 edition includes a total of 156 lectures, distributed across 20 scientific areas, 31 of which are included in this year's catalogue for the first time.

Mostly held by UAlg teachers, the lectures may be integrated into the programmes of the subjects and activities planned by the schools. The themes are defined according to the age group and training level of the addressees.

The lectures take place preferably in Schools or at the University. However, there is still the possibility to hold lectures online.

The UAlg Team is divided into three categories:

  • "Decide for yourself: choose UAlg", which consists of information sessions about UAlg's educational offer
  • "The University goes to School", which consists of offering activities and lectures in which UAlg lecturers visit schools in the Algarve region
  • "The School comes to UAlg", which offers a range of activities at the University's facilities. In addition to the offer presented, we are available to organise a specific visit or activity according to the needs of each group

Besides the offer presented, there is also the possibility of organising other initiatives, such as visits or specific activities according to the needs of each group/class.
