Outgoing Mobility

Applications for the Erasmus+ Studies Programme for 2020/21 - Open from 1 to 29 February

The internationalisation of the academic curriculum is one of the most important success factors for recent graduates, as it is an opportunity which provides undeniable competitive advantages in accessing the labour market. ESGHT undergraduate students have the possibility to complete one or two periods of study (a maximum of two semesters) as well as one or more internships abroad, under mobility programmes.

Students can choose to undertake a period of study under one of the numerous protocols that the University of Algarve has with universities around the world (which can be consulted here: http://www.ualg.pt/pt/programasdemobilidade) They can also take advantage of the Almeida Garrett and Vasco da Gama national mobility programmes, studying for a semester or an academic year at another Portuguese university or polytechnic.

As for grants, these are available essentially through the Erasmus+ programme, which allows periods of study in any educational institution with which UAlg has a bilateral agreement (UAlg’s list of bilateral agreements in the subject areas taught at the Higher School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism can be found on this page) or an internship, in any European Community country. For each cycle of studies (Bachelor's, Master's or PhD), students are entitled to enjoy twelve months of Erasmus+ mobility, which can be distributed over one or two semesters of studies, and/or curricular or extra-curricular internships (between the different years of a Bachelor’s degree, or within one year after the end of a Bachelor’s degree).
