Autodesk - Education Community
Autodesk, a company that makes architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media and entertainment industry software, provides its entire software range free of charge to educational institutions. The Informatics Department of the University of Algarve has made the necessary efforts to access this benefit and already has it available for installation in laboratories and other UAlg equipment, as well as for the teaching staff’s and students' personal computers.
Target audience:
The entire academic community.

Procedure for accessing the download of Autodesk products:
1. Access the Free education licence products list on www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/all website and choose the product you want to install;
2. Login with your Autodesk account via the SIGN IN button
If you do not already have an Autodesk account, you must register with your UAlg email address, using the CREATE ACCOUNT button
3. Proceed to download the applications and install in accordance with the instructions.

Edoclink
Edoclink is an integrated document management solution and support for the dematerialisation of administrative and decision-making processes, developed in Microsoft technology for the web environment, thus allowing easy access from any device that has an Internet browser.
Its implementation covers the Organisation as a whole, which translates into an important gain in efficiency and profitability, resulting from the possibility for all employees to communicate with each other and have the real time ability to access all managed information that they are entitled to.
Purpose
Edoclink is a document management system that aims to reduce the physical circulation of documents, optimise working methods, improve the quality and speed of the services provided and also, control the circulation of information, reduce costs, increase productivity, use a common information platform and standardise internal procedures.
Technological infrastructure
Edoclink is available in a web environment, and also has specific applications for mobile devices with touch interfaces.
Target audience:
All employees, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and researchers.

Microsoft Azure
"Microsoft Azure connects students to the tools, experiences and resources they need to improve their skills in today's professional world. Whether creating a game, designing an app or launching a project, Microsoft Azure helps students boldly develop and bring ideas to life."
Purpose
The Computer Service Department at UAlg, through the current agreement with Microsoft, started to provide a WEBSTORE with a collection of software that facilitates development in the areas of design, technology, mathematics, and science and engineering, which should only be used for those same ends.
Target audience:
This list of programming tools for educational use is available for qualified higher education departments whose main focus is Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

Microsoft Office 365
The University of Algarve established a protocol with Microsoft in order to make Office 365 available to all its students, teaching staff and employees for free. In this sense, access to all Office 365 services, must be done with the institutional email address of the University of Algarve ( xxxxx@ualg.pt).
This initiative allows you to download the latest version of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) for 5 PCs or Macs plus an unlimited number of mobile devices. In addition, this account allows access to all Microsoft cloud services.

SPSS
SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software is a modular solution for statistical data analysis, including powerful data management systems and application of statistical procedures in a graphical environment, using easy-to-use menus and dialogue boxes.
The SPSS campus licence is valid annually from 1 March to 28 February of the following year. The code for the new annual period is sent to all organic units in January.
Purpose
Provide a tool for statistical treatment.
Technological infrastructure
Request the installation/activation of the software from the computer technician of the Organic Unit to which you belong because the keys are not distributed to users.
Target audience:
The conditions of use of the licence allow its installation on all computers at the University of Algarve.

SPSS-AMOS
IBM SPSS Amos allows you to use structural equation modelling (SEM) for testing. The SPSS-AMOS campus licence is valid annually from 1 March to 28 February of the following year.
Purpose
Provide a tool for statistical treatment.
Technological infrastructure
Request the installation/activation of the software from the computer technician of the Organic Unit to which you belong because the keys are not distributed to users.

MATLAB
The University of Algarve recently acquired a Campus licence for the MATLAB tool with the possibility of using all available toolboxes, for the entire academic community of UAlg.
This software will be available for both teaching and research.
The licensing agreement allows:
• Individual installation in personal equipment after federated authentication with our systems through the portal https: //www.mathworks.com/academia/tah-portal/universidade-do-algarve-31 ...
• The simultaneous installation that will be carried out by the Informatics Services in order to make it available to the classrooms through a licence server (Please inform the Informatics Services which toolboxes will be needed)
• The use of online training with several courses that you will be able to take and benefit from this learning, through the same portal as above.
To install the programme follow these steps:
- Access the UAlg portal on MATLAB
- Click on the "Sign in to get started" button in the "Desktop" box. Online. Mobile. Free through your school's license"
- Enter UAlg authentication. Your password will not be sent, just some data that you must confirm in the next box.
- You should download the software. Although authenticated by the UAlg account, the download requires the creation of a local account on the Matlab website,
- You should install the software by answering the questions presented.
- When running the software, you must activate it via the internet using your UAlg credentials.
Purpose
Provide a tool for mathematical treatment.
Technological infrastructure
The entire process is done online by the user using his/her UAlg credentials.
Target audience:
The conditions of use of the licence allow its installation on all computers at the University of Algarve.
