Module 1 - Defining an AI strategy for value creation
Trainer: Manuel Dias, Microsoft
The development of Artificial Intelligence solutions in an organisation starts with a holistic definition of the AI strategy. For this it is fundamental that business leaders understand the true transformational potential of AI in their industry and what are the key factors for its implementation. This module addresses how to define a plan for implementing AI in the organisation from a policy and strategic perspective, including the analysis of case studies in various industries.
Module 2 - Fostering an AI culture in the organisation and Identifying guiding principles for the responsible use of AI

Module 3 - AI for users in a business environment
Trainer: Marisol Correia, School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism
Provide executives with a vision of the benefits of using AI in their operations and in the transformation and extraction of information and knowledge to facilitate and support the decision-making process. This module will present the potential offered by Power BI to strengthen the ability to analyze and create value for the business.
Module 4 - AI versus BI differences and synergies for organisations
Trainer: Raúl Filipe Guerreiro, School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism
AI provides machines with the ability to perform functions that mimic human capabilities or decisions. BI-based approaches allow to analyse large amounts of data, identify relevant information and create knowledge. In collaboration, AI and BI can provide more advantages than alone, generating better "knowledge/insights" and by this way help managers to better decide and consequently organizations to improve their results. In this practical case study, we will use the available data on the evolution of tourism in the Algarve and/or in Portugal since 2010.
Module 5 - Scaling AI for your organisation
Trainer: Juan Correia, Faculty of Economics
This module is divided into 2 components: A component of preparing the organisation for the implementation of AI, where tools are given to foster innovation, to define AI investments and establish internal roles and responsibilities associated with the implementation of AI and a second component linked to the introduction and management of Machine Learning Operation (MLOps). This module is fundamental for the creation of the mindset and the creation of the internal framework, prior to the implementation of the AI.
